HISTORY

The current display was started in December 2000 in the original freight room to replace an outdated one that was 30 years old. The new display is double decked and was constructed with metal studs, masonite spline roadbed and various scenery techniques of scenes roughly depicting the area between Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

It is a single track operation powered by DCC with long passing sidings and branch lines serving the steel and logging industries. The logging branch also features narrow gauge operations. As is the case of most model railroads, scenery work is ongoing with some scenes completed, and others in various stages of development. Currently we are adding Digitrax NYC signaling on the layout.
